I have mixed feelings about this new RomCom, Blind Dating. It's starring hunky-hunk Chris Pine, as a hunky-hunk blind virgin, looking for lurve. He has trouble doing so, however, with all of his dates either being appalled at his lack of sight, or weirdly fascinated, with one girl even putting a scarf over her eyes in order to "experience" what he does. Our protagonist eventually falls for a nurse (or doctor, or receptionist, I can't tell from the trailer) who treats him the way he always wanted- with love, respect, and the whole she-bang. Anyway, that's the basic plot. Now what I'm concerned with, is that although Blind Dating has potential to be a smart and funny romantic movie, it could potentially blow that with unfunny jokes and dull dialogue. I won't be jumping out of me seat to see this, unless I hear some great reviews. Blind Dating comes to theaters May 11, 2007.
