Just found this trailer today, and although the plot is cute/clever etc., I'm sort of wondering how they can play the joke of Jesus's face on a tortilla for a full 90 minutes. It seems like in Tortilla Heaven, they are going to have the torilla maker find the tortilla, market it, makes tons of ca$h, and then seek redemption for profiting off of the Christ. All while laughing along to the comedic stylings of Mr. George Lopez! Okay, anyway, I'm curious to see how this will be, I can see it swinging either into the cliche, feature-length bad joke side of the spectrum, or the inspirational,smartly funny side. I'm hoping for the latter, because I think the trailer does show not only promising talent, but potential enjoyment. Tortilla Heaven comes to theaters March 16, 2007.
